Frequently Asked Questions
You have answered my questions and I am happy with the price quoted. However I would like to make all my own travel arrangements do I have to take the flight centre travel packages ?
No, we are quite happy to supply your dental appointments, treatment plan and cost outline only. We offer the flight centre packages purely as an option for our clients
The package I am interested in includes ten porcelain crowns, but I think I only need eight. Do I still have to pay the full package price?
No, your package can be adjusted at anytime during your treatment.
What up front costs will I have to pay before embarking Australia?
Absolutely none, your dental work is paid for in stages during your treatment
How do I pay these costs?
The clinic accepts Visa, Mastercard, and cash.
How accurate will the quotes for dental work be?
The accuracy of the quote is dependent on the information we receive. We recommend you first obtain a quote and a written treatment plan from a dentist here in Australia.
An alternative is digital photographs taken of your gums and teeth. Recommended is a natural close up smile, opened mouthed with lips pulled aback, and a closed bite with lips pulled back. This coupled with a questionnaire provided by us will assist a great deal in determining treatments costs.
Do I need a visa to travel to the Philippines?
A visa is only required if you intend to stay over twenty one days. If you do need to stay longer we can assist in arranging visas. Passports must have a minimum of six months validity
Do I need to be vaccinated?
No special Vaccination certificates are required, except by travelers entering the Philippines from an area infected by yellow fever.
What’s the weather like in Manila?
Summer is from March to July (Light clothing is essential). From July to November is the rainy season (Umbrellas essential). December through to February is really quite pleasant; the air is drier and temperatures cooler.
How shall I dress?
Smart casual through to business wear is recommended in Makati City as Philippine people expect westerners to be well dressed.
Is the water and food safe?
Our clients and staff have eaten in a variety of restaurants and takeaway outlets whilst in Manila and have found the quality of food to be first class. However we do recommend you stay clear of street food vendors. Bottled sterilized water is available from the many 7-11 type stores for around sixty cents Australian for a one-litre bottle.
Can I take my mobile phone?
Yes. To use your mobile in Manila simply contact your carrier before leaving Australia and request global roaming. Upon arrival in Manila you simply turn off your mobile phone and turn it on again to activate global roaming. Keep in mind that land-lines can be somewhat unreliable in the Philippines so a mobile phone is recommended.
What is the time difference between Australia and the Philippines?
If it’s 11.25 am on the east coast of Australia it’s 9.25 am in the Philippines.
